A new report by think tank Demos suggests that taking vulnerable children into care earlier could save on both emotional and financial costs. It also calls for a change in attitude so that the care system is de-stigmatised and seen positively.

Flourish is looking for submissions for their 2010 exhibition of artwork by children in care. This will be the fifth annual exhibition by looked-after children and young people from around the UK. The deadline for submissions is Friday 25 June.
