Helping children in care to thrive

Latest news

Siblings Jibril and Sahra talk about growing up in care in Who Cares? Junior magazine

9 December 2011

Who Cares? Junior magazine is for children in care aged 8-12 years old, and is the sister publication of Who Cares? magazine.

Every issue of Who Cares? Junior is packed full of readers’ contributions - interviews with young people, letters, comments about life in care, jokes and problems answered age-appropriately by our very own agony aunt.

The magazine is a fantatsic resource for children in care - each quarter we tackle difficult issues in an accessible and reassuring tone, and help children to realise that they are not alone.

In the Winter edition of Who Cares? Junior magazine:

  • We talk to brother and sister, Jibril and Sahra, who are in care together but still miss their other brothers and sisters.
  • Readers share their fantastic pictures, poems and letters.
  • Jack gets into trouble at school in our comic strip.
  • What's your problem - our agony aunt answers Who Cares? Junior reader's problems about being bullied and falling behing at school
  • All about you - Lilly Ann Wright shares her best things about being in care.
  • Prizes galore - Hello Kitty digital camera, Lego Creationary game, Harry Potter DVD, Art set and Bob it! game.
