Dear Suzie, I am a fourteen year old girl and I live in a children's home. I have a big problem and it's getting me down. I feel as if have nobody and am by myself in everything I do. I think I feel like this because I don't see my parents. I last saw them when I was four and everything went wrong. Please help. Natalie, Tyne and Wear |
Suzie's answerIt's really sad when your parents let you down. Most people in your situation feel it's their fault. You think you're alone because of something you did. But Natalie - it wasn't your fault. You deserve love and friendship and a life - and you can get it. Tell your key worker how sad you feel. Ask for a chance to talk it through so you can build your self-confidence and see the opportunities available. And when you approach other people expecting them to be there for you because you're worth it, you'll find they respond in kind. Good luck! |
