Right, now it's time to get ready for your first day. But what should you do? Read our tips below to help you arrive at work feeling confident and relaxed. |

1. Get used to the routine of going to bed and getting up at a certain time – you don’t want to be tired on your first day so getting your sleep patterns right will be a huge help. 2. Plan how you’re going to get there as well as some alternative routes – if by chance the bus isn’t running that day or the train line is down you’ll be glad you did. 3. Take your lunch with you just in case there’s nowhere around to buy anything. 4. Do a bit of research on the company so you get a feel for what you might expect on your first day. 5. Plan what outfits you might wear during your first week. You don’t want to panic on the morning of your first day because nothing is clean! Try to remember the type of clothes that you saw people wear when you went for your interview. If you’re not sure, go for something smart until you get more of a feel for what’s accepted. 6. On the day of the interview, get up with plenty of time to get ready. You'll need time to eat breakfast and get dressed without rushing. 7. Leave the house with lots of time to get there - there's nothing worse than turning up late and flustered on your first day!
