Helping children in care to thrive

Involving young people in the APPG

One of the best things about the APPG is the number of young people that attend from all over the country. It is always fantastic to see a room packed with those who have direct experience of what it is like to be in care, and who aren’t frightened of letting those in charge know what they think.

If you work with a young person who you think would be interested in attending the APPG, please contact Jack Smith for more information.

Find out more about what young people think about the APPG on our young people's website: Who Cares? Town

More ways for young people to influence parliament

Alongside the APPG, there is now a project running to encourage young people to look at different ways of influencing parliament. This will include media training, meeting with MPs and policy makers and training social workers.

A main group will be based in London, but there will also be regional workshops. If you know any young people who would be interested email Jack: jack.smith@thewhocarestrust.org.uk
