Phase 2 (2011/12)

Phase two of Word Power will run from November 2011 until March 2012.

Overview:

Lemn Sissay will work with a new group of looked after young people aged 11-16 in Essex for a 12-week course of weekly after-school sessions.

In this phase the young people will examine other forms of creative writing as well as poetry, maybe stories or plays – Lemn has experience of writing both and will be led by the young people themselves and their interests.

At the end of the course an anthology of the young people’s work will be published.
