Helping children in care to thrive

Testimonials

‘The survey you designed for us is brilliant and covers all the key areas. A very big thank you to you and your colleagues for consulting looked after children on our behalf and for your very insightful, clear and comprehensive report.’
Enid Henry, NSPCC Head of Strategy and Development (Looked After Children)

‘The workshop you ran with your young people was awesome!  We could have done with a day though rather than a couple of hours!’
London Virtual Headteacher

‘Your contribution to the success of our Helping Hands awards was appreciated by all. The encouragement you offered to children, carers and teachers was very much appreciated.  You could see from the eyes of the recipients just what it meant to them to have a tangible tribute to their commitment to children in care. Thank you once again.’
Ewen Godfrey, Head of Education Matters team, Education Bradford

Inside Government’s forum, Looked After Children: Improving the Prospects of Young People, on 20 September 2011, was considered to be a great success. Jack Smith, from the Who Cares? Trust gave a very informative presentation on ‘Education for Looked after Children and Young People Leaving Care’. This was very well received by the audience who commented on Jack’s unashamed dedication to the rights of looked after children, cited Jack as a reminder of what we should be aspiring to, and commented that he spoke with confidence, enthusiasm and passion.
