There are certain things that must be discussed at all review meetings:
- Your care plan and any changes to be made to it
- Whether changes talked about at your last review meeting have been made
- Whether your care status should be changed
- Whether there is a permanence plan
- Arrangements for contact with your parents and siblings - if you are apart - and any need for changes to be made
- Whether the placement continues to be the best one for you
- Whether any changes need to be made to your school or other educational arrangements
- What you enjoy doing, like hobbies and sport
- Your most recent health assessment and whether any changes are needed
- Your religion (if you have one) and your family’s cultural traditions, and whether you are being helped and encouraged to keep these up if you want to
- Whether you understand how to get advice, support and assistance between reviews and visits by your social worker
- Any arrangements that need to be made for when you leave care
- Your wishes and feelings, and your IRO’s views about anything to do with your care.
These are the main things that have to be talked about at every review meeting, but different children will have different things going on which can also be discussed.
