Column Idol is back with Jessie J!
Media Trust and The Sun have launched Column Idol 2011, a competition to give young people across the nation the chance to have their voices heard.
If you're a writer between the ages of 18 and 25, you can apply for the chance to be mentored by top journalists. One lucky winner will have their column printed in The Sun!
"This is a fantastic chance for anyone who likes writing and has an opinion," says Jessie J, music star and Column Idol spokesperson. "Young people are always saying that they want to be heard, and this is an opportunity for them to step up and do it!”

Young people create film about care
Check out our powerful short film made by a group of care leavers to tell the truth about life in care.
The team wanted the film to show both the 'good' and 'bad' sides of growing up in the care system, and to tackle unfair stereotypes about young people in care.
Our blogger John is a care leaver with lots to say about life in and after care. This time he talks about how being mixed race affected his time in care, and his struggle with his own racial identity.
