Your case reviews

‘When you have been in care for a while you have review meetings. You should always fill in the forms they give you because it helps them to understand the way you feel. It also helps them decide what’s best for you.’

Case reviews are regular meetings that happen when you are looked after, where you and the main people involved in your care get together to make sure you are being looked after well, enjoying your life as much as you can and doing well in your education.

Your care plan will be looked at to see whether anything should be changed, and people at the meeting will talk about any changes they think should be made, like for example moving you to a different placement, or helping your carer support you with your schoolwork.

If anyone asks for any major changes to your care plan they must first be discussed in your review meeting.

If you have a child protection plan (because social workers thought you were not safe at home) it should be looked at too in the case review meeting.
